How to Search the Russiaville Court Docket
Let the paperwork point the way. The venue is printed on a citation, summons, or pleading. It tells you which Howard court has the case. A public Howard case can be searched through Indiana MyCase. Pick the Case tab to enter a case number, citation number, or cross-reference number. Pick Name only when no number is at hand. You can filter the public interface to the right Howard court. It is marked by 34C01 or 34D01 through 34D04.
Town Hall and Russiaville Police publish no local court database. Contact them only for the records and routing each office actually controls.
- Read the document for the issuing agency and named venue.
- Enter the full case or citation number in MyCase.
- Use the Howard court filter when the court is known.
- Open the CCS and review the latest status and setting.
- Verify the result with the Howard Clerk or assigned court.
A search that comes up empty has several innocent explanations. Sealing, expungement, excluded data, legacy files, or the wrong court filter can all hide a Howard County record, so a missing result never proves no record exists.

Use for town administration and ordinance routing.
The government source provides a clear view of the local starting point.

It does not display a town judge, case search, or municipal court calendar.
The Russiaville Municipal Court
Russiaville has no municipal court. The town site and the police page identify none. The current Indiana court directory agrees, and the 2024 judicial staffing report does too. Official materials list zero city or town court judges in Howard County. So a business listing may loosely say “Russiaville court.” That is not a real local judicial office.
Where does a case go instead? Russiaville ordinance issues can begin with Town Hall. A state traffic infraction, misdemeanor, small claim, or other case belongs elsewhere. It goes to the Howard court assigned by jurisdiction. Superior Court III takes most traffic infractions, driving offenses, misdemeanors, and small claims. Circuit and the remaining Superior Courts split the rest under local rules.
Routing rule: Town Hall answers town administration questions. The Howard Clerk and assigned trial court answer questions about an Indiana court docket.
Russiaville Police Is Not the CCS
The Russiaville Police Department lists dispatch at 765-457-1105, administration at 765-883-4545, and fax at 765-883-7397. Its office shares the 250 N Union address. It also uses PO Box 278. Marshal Joshua Fulkerson and Deputy Carl Swan are named in their public capacities. The official department page shows this local law-enforcement contact in full.

A dispatch call is not a docket. Police may create a matter or refer it onward, but the clerk records the court filings, settings, orders, and disposition once a case is filed. Only the case file gives the chronological summary.
- Police record
- An agency record such as an incident report, not the court docket.
- CCS
- The chronological case summary for an Indiana court case.
- Setting
- A scheduled hearing or other court event.
- Disposition
- The recorded outcome of a charge, claim, or case.
Russiaville Court Dates and Settings
A public Howard court date usually shows up as a MyCase event. Read the newest CCS entries first. A continuance can shift a date. A later order can change the hearing type. Treat the online calendar as informational only. The assigned court decides whether you must appear and where the hearing happens.
| Date | The scheduled day in the current entry |
|---|---|
| Time | The stated start time, which may be a shared docket call |
| Court | The Howard court name and identifier |
| Location | The courthouse room or authorized appearance method |
| Setting Type | The purpose, such as initial hearing, pretrial, trial, or review |
Howard County's public calendar carries its own warning. Information can change, and pleadings may not yet be entered. Before relying on any Russiaville-related setting, confirm it with the court, your attorney, or the Howard Clerk.
Russiaville Population and Identity
Russiaville counted 1,319 residents in the 2020 Census incorporated-place tally. The town's official history traces its founding to 1845. Its name honors Miami Chief Jean Baptiste de Richardville. That account also covers the Quaker and Underground Railroad chapters. It notes the 1965 tornado and the rebuilding that followed. Colorful as it is, none of this establishes a judicial venue.
Old records still serve genealogy and civic research. For modern case status, though, go to current Indiana court sources rather than a historical narrative.
Russiaville Traffic Tickets
Read the whole ticket before acting. A Russiaville ticket names the issuer, the court, the case or citation number, the payment route, and any appearance instructions. The town offers no citation lookup and no online municipal payment system. Never send a state infraction to Russiaville Police. The department does not keep the judicial record.
| Question | Best first contact | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Town ordinance administration | Russiaville Town Hall | Town staff route local matters |
| Police report or agency record | Russiaville Police | Police maintain their own records |
| State traffic case or date | MyCase, Superior III, or Howard Clerk | The court maintains the CCS |
MyCase showing a state case? Review its latest entry, then confirm the payment or contest deadline with the named court. How you handle payment can affect the case disposition, and the wider county process is laid out in Howard County traffic court records.
Russiaville Ordinance Questions Need Venue
A local rule is not a police contact. Neither one is a court case. Town Hall can say which department administers a Russiaville ordinance, and Police can speak to an agency record or law-enforcement contact, but neither role proves a case was ever filed in Howard court.
Say the town refers a matter to state court. Ask for the exact court and case number. Search that identifier through MyCase. If the search fails, strip hyphens and leading zeroes as the official search tips allow, but never guess at a sequence. Call the Howard Clerk when the case may predate Odyssey, has moved between courts, or calls for an official copy.
What to do if no case appears: check the venue, try the full citation number, confirm the spelling, remove optional punctuation, and contact the stated custodian.
Where Russiaville Cases End Up
Russiaville legal matters fan out across Howard County's five courts of record. The split follows subject matter plus local assignment rules. Circuit Court alone handles juvenile cases. It also takes other civil and criminal matters assigned there. Traffic infractions, driving offenses, most misdemeanors, small claims, and specialized driving privilege petitions land in Superior III. Whatever remains may be routed to Superior I, II, or IV.
Docket flow: Russiaville town or police matter › Howard County Clerk and assigned trial court › Indiana Court of Appeals
The case number itself reveals the route. Take the pattern 34D03-YYMM-CM-######: 34 stands for Howard County, D03 points to Superior III, YYMM encodes the filing year and month, CM marks the case as a misdemeanor, and the trailing digits give its place in sequence. This pattern is illustrative and contains no person's case.
For a fuller picture of all five county courts, see the Howard County court docket overview.
Russiaville Federal Cases Use PACER
Federal matters from Russiaville never show up in Indiana MyCase. Howard County sits in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Indianapolis Division. Federal civil and criminal dockets run through PACER and CM/ECF. They sit under federal access and fee rules. The official PACER service supplies nationwide federal case access, including the page that opens next.

That official page covers the federal side only. An ordinary Howard traffic, small-claims, or criminal case will not appear there.
Russiaville Bankruptcy Has Its Own Court
Bankruptcy is federal too. A Russiaville bankruptcy filing belongs to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana, not the Howard Clerk. The official bankruptcy court site provides the court's own information.

Because a separate court hears these cases, widening a MyCase search will never surface a Russiaville bankruptcy. The bankruptcy court also publishes an official case information resource, which is the page that follows.

That resource helps only when the matter is bankruptcy. Local ordinance and Howard trial cases stay in their own channels.
Public Access to Russiaville Court Records
Public view of Howard cases runs under Indiana's Rules on Access to Court Records. Access is the presumption, but the rules exclude certain records and cases. Juvenile, paternity, mental-health, sealed, expunged, and other protected material may be missing from remote search. The courthouse can grant access on different conditions. Certified copies must come from the official custodian.
Key rules:
Access to Court Records Rule 1 states the scope and access policy.
Access Rule 5 identifies whole-case and record exclusions.
Indiana Access to Public Records Act applies to many town and police records, alongside specific confidentiality rules.
The Howard Clerk sits at 104 N Buckeye Street, Room 202, Kokomo, reachable at 765-456-2000 on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Say whether you want inspection, an ordinary copy, or a certified copy.
Russiaville Court Record Copy Checks
When you contact the clerk about a Russiaville matter, give the case number, court name, and document type if you know them. Ask for a fee estimate and the accepted delivery method before any payment goes out. Certified copies carry the clerk's certificate or seal; ordinary copies do not. A document missing from the online CCS does not mean the clerk lacks it.
Courthouse terminals can show more than remote access does. Keep town, police, state court, and federal requests separate. That way each office gets only the facts it needs to find its own record. This focus cuts delay. It also keeps a police or town record request from being mistaken for a judicial-copy order.
When a public document is unavailable remotely, Russiaville residents can use courthouse access. Indiana Administrative Rule 9 sets a courthouse access framework during regular hours. MyCase document access varies by case type and audience. Give the Howard Clerk the full court identifier, case number, and document title. A narrow request for a known order gets answered more accurately than one built on a name alone.
One event can create records held by different custodians. Russiaville Police may keep an incident report. Town Hall may retain ordinance correspondence. The Howard Clerk may hold the later court filing. Each request belongs with the office that created or maintains the item. A police report is not certified by the court, and a court order is not authenticated by town staff.
Older Odyssey data may show up as a converted event with limited text. Contact the Clerk to learn whether the original paper or legacy record can be inspected or copied. Say whether an ordinary copy suffices or certification is required, then confirm fees and accepted payment. If a Russiaville notice and the online setting disagree, call the assigned Howard court before appearing. Court staff can confirm the current setting. Town Hall and police contacts speak only to their own records and administrative roles.
